Michael Walker, CPT

Michael Walker, CPTA Gainesville native, Michael is a certified personal trainer with over 10 years experience in personal training, and he's the owner of Cross Training San Marco. Michael’s extensive research into aerobic and anaerobic exercise, strength and core training, and personal development has positioned him as an expert in cross training.

Michael began his personal training career with high-caliber athletes including members of the University of Florida football team and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He saw a need for a cross-training gym in Jacksonville where he could showcase his highly effective workouts to the community, not just elite athletes. In 2008, Michael opened Cross Training San Marco. He and his team of certified personal trainers develop customized workouts tailored to each client’s individual needs. Their clients are testimonials to the way physical fitness can improve not only your health, but also your overall quality of life.

Sean Watts, CPT

Sean Watts, CPTSean began his career in personal training at the New York Sports Club Corporate headquarters in New York City, where he served as an individual fitness coach and instructed classes in body sculpting, body conditioning and aqua aerobics. Sean has continued his experience as a personal trainer in Jacksonville, Florida at Gold’s Gym, Gracor Fitness Center, and the University Club. Sean has also worked as a fitness consultant for WJXT Channel 4, San Marco Magazine and The Advocate.

Sean’s commitment to fitness has led him to become an active voice in the Jacksonville community. He serves on the Board of Commit To Benefit Kids, a non-profit which informs and instructs Duval County school children how to lead a healthy lifestyle. Sean also served on the Mayor’s Fitness and Wellness Council from 2002 – 2008.

Chris DeRoo, CPT

Chris DeRoo, CPTCertified as a personal trainer by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, Chris specializes in tailoring fitness plans to each individual client to help them reach their individual fitness goals. Chris has worked with clients of all ages and physical abilities, and believes that individualized plans are the key to success. Before beginning a training program, Chris assesses his client’s abilities, goals, level of fitness and commitment in order to create a safe program that will meet, and often exceed, his client’s fitness goals.

Chris also holds a Bachelor of Science in health/exercise science from the University of North Florida and is CPR-certified. A native of South Florida, Chris enjoys basketball, football, tennis, wakeboarding and fishing.
